New Twitter chief 'planning job cuts' reports say
Twitter Inc is expected to this week announce a number job cuts that will affect most departments across the company.
Sources reportedly told technology news publication Re/code that it is not known how many jobs will be scrapped, but most areas of the business will be affected.
The social media company currently employs around 4,100 people across the world.
Growth has slowed in recent times, with a drop in the number of new users to the lowest since it first began operating.
Just last week, the group appointed co-founder Jack Dorsey as its permanent chief executive.
He is also reportedly planning to restructure the company's engineering departments, Re/code cited sources as saying.
The microblogging business refused to comment on speculation.
