Ocado says 'small fire' at Erith customer fulfilment centre now extinguished

Online supermarket Ocado said on Thursday that a "small fire" reported at its customer fulfilment centre in Erith, southeast London on Wednesday evening has now been extinguished.

The company said in a statement that the Fire Brigade had attended to the fire, which is now out.

Back in February, Ocado's warehouse in Andover, Hampshire, suffered a huge fire that was later found to have been sparked by an electrical fault that set a robot on fire.

At 0825 BST, the shares were down 2.3% at 1,213.50p.
