Spend management and e-commerce solution provider Proactis Holdings has signed a supply agreement with identity management specialist GB Group to support the delivery of its ‘Accelerated Payment Facility’ (APF), it announced on Wednesday.

The AIM-traded firm said it would integrate with GB Group’s identity validation solution, ‘GBG IDscan’, to support the digital onboarding of suppliers to the APF while preventing the risk of fraud.

Supported by the integration of GBG IDscan, Proactis said it estimated that supplier setup would take less than three minutes, with subsequent accelerated payment requests taking less than 30 seconds.

It explained that GB Group captured the textual and image information from more than 4,000 global identity documents, and delivered automated authentication results, which would support the international roll out of the APF.

“We are very happy to be working with GBG, marking an important milestone as we continue to build our Accelerated Payment Facility product,” said Proactis’ financial solutions director Anthony Persse.

“This relationship will further enhance our simple and swift onboarding process for suppliers and importantly add another layer of security.”

Persse said the company remained “committed” to investing and developing its core innovative business-to-business commerce and networking offerings, with this being one such example.

“We are excited by the opportunity and we look forward to further developing our early customer adopter programme.”
