Reports CompareTheMarket.com owner exploring public listing

BGL Group, which owns price comparison website CompareTheMarket.com and insurance brand Dial Direct, is considering a public listing, according to Sky News.

The broadcaster said on Wednesday that the South African company has begun exploring a float in London, but sources said no final decision had been made.

It also said bankers hadn’t been formally hired to work on a listing yet.

Sky News said the listing could value the company at several billion pounds.
