Low-cost airline Ryanair said traffic grew 12% in September to 9.55m.
The load factor, which measures how full the planes were, was up 4% to 94%, while rolling annual traffic to September increased 16% to 97.3m.
Chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs said: “These record monthly numbers and load factors are due to our lower fares, our stronger forward bookings and the continuing success of our ‘Always Getting Better’ customer experience programme, which continues to deliver stronger than expected traffic and load factors on our biggest ever summer schedule.”
The company said year II of the AGB programme will include a new car hire service, along with a new website, app, cabin interiors, crew uniforms, and improved in-flight menus.
