Budget airline Ryanair reported a 14% jump in traffic in April.

Traffic rose to 11.3m customers from 9.9m in April 2016, while the load factor - which gauges how full the plans are - increased to 96% from 93%.

Meanwhile, rolling annual traffic grew 13% to 121.3m customers.

Chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs attributed the rise in traffic to an Easter boost, lower fares and the company's 'Always Getting Better' customer experience programme.

At 1008 BST, the shares were up 0.7% to 16.31p.
