SABMiller's director to stay on in wake of AB InBev's deal
Updated : 09:36
Tony Van Kralingen has postponed his retirement and will continue as SABMiller’s director of integrated supply and human resources, the drinks giant said.
In April this year, Van Kralingen had announced he would step down from the board at the end of 2015, with his role to be split into two new positions – director of human resources and director of integrated supply - on the group’s executive committee.
Johann Nel took on the former role on 14 September, with Philip Hodges set to join the FTSE 100 group as director of integrated supply from 1 December.
However, following SABMiller’s decision to accept Anheuser-Busch InBev’s takeover offer, the London-listed company and Hodges have agreed he will not take up his new role and Van Kralingen has agreed to postpone his retirement and will continue as director of integrated supply.
SABMiller shares were down 0.19% to 4,021.50p at 0929 GMT on Friday.
