Serco appoints David J. Dacquino as CEO of Americas division
Service company Serco has appointed David J. Dacquino - currently the head of its Americas’ defence business - as chief executive officer of the Americas division, succeeding Dan Allen who is retiring from the role.
Dacquino will take on Allen’s responsibilities over the coming weeks, including joining the group's Executive Committee. He joined Serco in 2015, bringing with him knowledge and experience from across the defence, aeronautics, logistics and technical services industries. Before Serco, he served as president and chief executive of aviation and logistics service provider SkyLink.
Previous roles included: CEO for the North America operations of technology integrator VT Group, vice president and lead executive of Raytheon Technical Services Company's integrated support solutions division, and an extensive career at Lockheed Martin, where he ultimately became vice president and general manager of logistic services.
Chief executive Rupert Soames said: "I am delighted that Dave Dacquino will be succeeding Dan Allen in leading our Americas division. Dave has made an excellent job of transforming our defence business in the region over the last two years, and it now has a substantial pipeline of new bid opportunities. I am also grateful to Dan, who since 2013 has steered the division through some choppy waters, and we wish him a happy retirement."
The Americas division employs around 8,000 people and generated revenue of £0.7bn in 2016.
