Spectris hires GKN's Andrew Harvey as HR director

Spectris has appointed Andrew Harvey to the newly-created role of group human resources director.

Harvey – who joins from engineering group GKN – will provide central leadership for the company’s HR activities and, in particular, support the strategic growth initiatives and the talent development programme, succession planning and Project Uplift.

He served as senior VP of human resources in the aerospace division and subsequently as senior VP of human resources in GKN's automotive division.

Spectris said he has “considerable” global HR experience gained in areas including change management, talent and development, employee engagement, acquisitions and disposals.

At 0950 GMT, the shares were down 0.3% to 2,434p.
