Surveillance technology and security systems provider Synectics has secured a new contract in the gambling sector, it announced on Tuesday.

The AIM-traded firm said the multi-million dollar contract was from a new, unnamed customer to provide its proprietary ‘Synergy 3’ software platform, to replace the surveillance system in a large, established gambling property in Macau.

It said the initial phase of the project was expected to be delivered in the current financial year, with potential for “significant” further revenue in the future.

Synectics said its performance in gambling markets had been “very strong” in the last few years, which it expected to continue.

“This new gaming project demonstrates success built on experience,” said Synectics chief executive Paul Webb.

“Having won a series of new-build casino projects in Asia over the last few years, we are delighted that such a major, long established operator in the region has chosen to replace its existing system with the market-proven Synectics solution.”
