Taylor Wimpey appoints Dixon's finance director to non-executive board

Humphrey Singer has been appointed as independent non-executive director at Taylor Wimpey, the residential housebuilder said on Wednesday.

Singer, who currently holds the role of group finance director at Dixon Carphone and had previously held a number of operational roles with Coca Cola Enterprises, will step in his new role with immediate effect, the London-listed company said.

“Humphrey brings with him not only a wealth of financial experience and acumen but also experience in the areas of both digital and customer services, which will be very helpful to the company,” said group chairman Kevin Beeston.

Taylor Wimpey shares were up 0.28% to 197.50p at 1001 GMT on Wednesday.
