Tullow Oil CFO Springett takes medical leave

Tullow Oil announced on Thursday that its chief financial officer Ian Springett was taking an extended leave of absence in order to undergo treatment for a medical condition.

The FTSE 250 firm said Les Wood, vice president finance and commercial, had been appointed interim CFO.

“Les joined Tullow in 2014 as the group's vice president for commercial,” its board confirmed in a statement.

“Before joining Tullow, Les worked for BP for 28 years in various positions including regional CFO roles in Canada and the Middle East.”
