Ultra Electronics finance director to join Oxford Instruments board

Departing Ultra Electronics Holdings’ group finance director Mary Waldner has been appointed to the board of Oxford Instruments.

The company said she has a broad range of experience across a variety of sectors having held senior financial positions with a number of major public and private companies including QinetiQ.

She graduated from Oxford University with an MA in physics and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

“She brings with her excellent financial and operational credentials and her listed company experience in the high technology sector will be especially relevant to Oxford Instruments,” said chairman Nigel Keen.

Waldner will join the Board on February 4 and is expected to succeed Jock Lennox as Chairman of the Audit & Risk Committee in due course.
