Online payments and point of sales supplier Universe Group said its subsidiary HTEC has won a three-year deal with Conviviality Retail, UK’s largest franchised off licence and convenience store chain.
The London-listed group said the deal, which is expected to add approximately £4.3m in revenues over its duration, includes the supply and maintenance of HTEC’s point of sale, back office, head office and payment systems as well as customer support.
Universe said the systems will be installed across Conviviality’s entire portfolio of over 650 off licence and convenience stores, adding implementation is expected to begin within November this year.
“This is a significant contract win for us that highlights the group's progress in entering the convenience store and grocery sector and underlines the market confidence in our new, innovative product set," said group chief executive Jeremy Lewis.
Universe shares were up 7.73% to 10.10p at 0903 BST on Friday.
