Vedanta Resources confirms board committee changes

Vedanta Resources confirmed a number of changes to its board committees and their membership on Monday, following the company’s annual general meeting on Friday.

The FTSE 250 firm had previously announced in May that Euan Macdonald was stepping down from the conclusion of the AGM.

Following that the board - on the recommendation of the nomination committee - made the changes to the committee composition effective from 5 August.

“Mr Geoffrey Green has been appointed as a member of the audit committee,” the board confirmed in a statement.

“Ms Ekaterina Zotova has been appointed as chairman of the sustainability committee and Mr Ravi Rajagopal has become a member of the sustainability committee.

“Mr Geoffrey Green has been appointed as chairman of the remuneration committee and Deepak Parekh has been appointed as a member of the remuneration committee,” it added.
