UK communications regulator Ofcom has accused Vodafone -- the most complained about network in Britain -- of breaking rules on handling complaints over a two-year period to November 2015.

Vodafone, which could be fined up to 10% of its turnover, intended to study the Ofcom report closely before issuing a response, the BBC reported.

Ofcom also said the teleco titan failed to send out written notifications to customers where a complaint had not been resolved after eight weeks. Sending out such notification was an industry requirement.

Customer complaints about Vodafone had risen to 32 per 100,000 customers, from 20, data for March showed. Ofcom's data revealed Vodafone was the most complained about network in the UK.
