Watchdog to launch probe into Mitie accounts

The Financial Reporting Council has announced an investigation into Deloitte's audits of two of the annual financial statements of outsourcer Mitie.

The accounting watchdog's investigation will look at whether there have been any breaches of "relevant requirements" in relation to the statutory audits of the consolidated financial statements for the years ended 31 March 2015 and 2016.

At 0813 BST, the shares were down 1.1% to 268.80p.
