Wilmcote Holdings confirms talks with US-based Arclin

Wilmcote Holdings confirmed on Tuesday that it is in exclusive discussions with US-based bonding and surfacing company Arclin Inc about a potential acquisition.

The AIM-listed group, which was set up to buy and develop target businesses in the downstream and specialty chemicals sector, said discussions are ongoing and there is no certainty that any transaction will proceed.

"A further announcement will be made as and when appropriate," it said.

Wilmcote's shares have been suspended from trading on AIM until there is confirmation that the potential acquisition is not going ahead.
