Wincanton renews Co-op distribution contract for five years

Supply-chain solutions provider Wincanton has renewed its distribution contract with the Co-op for a further five years.

It would service the Co-op's logistics depots at Lea Green in Merseyside and at Cardinal in Cambridgeshire.

Wincanton said it would utilise about 700 staff and a fleet of more than 500 vehicles to support. In total, under the contract, it expected to make about 130,000 journeys a year to up to 1000 Co-op stores nationwide.
