Wizz Air CFO Sonia Jerez Burdeus resigns

Central and Eastern Europe-focused budget airline Wizz Air said chief financial officer Sonia Jerez Burdeus has resigned to relocate back to Spain.

Burdeus will remain with the company until 13 March, overseeing the interim management statement for the third quarter.

Wizz said it has begun the process of recruiting a new CFO and will make a further announcement in due course.

Chief executive officer Jozsef Váradi said: “We are obviously disappointed to see Sonia Jerez leave the company but understand that personal considerations can take precedence over professional life. We thank Sonia for her contribution and wish her well."

At 0930 GMT, the shares were down 0.8% to 1,835p.
