Wizz Air passenger numbers and load factor up in April

Wizz Air posted a rise in passenger numbers and load factor for April on Wednesday.

The Eastern Europe-focused low-cost carrier reported a 15.8% increase in passenger numbers in April to 1.78m.

Meanwhile, the load factor – which measures how full the planes are – edged up to 86.5% from 86.2%.

On a rolling 12-month basis, passenger numbers were up 20.6% to 20.22m and the load factor rose to 88.2% from 86.8%.

At 0923 BST, shares were up 0.4% to 1,894p.
