Wood Group providing engineering services to Texas refinery project

Wood Group said it is providing engineering and procurement services to Flint Hills Resources' refining hub at Corpus Christi, South Texas, US for the company's Eagle Ford modification project.

The oil services company said the modification and upgrade - at the City's West Refinery - will enable the facility to process 100% of US crude, primarily from the Eagle Ford shale region, into transportation fuels.

Curt Watson, president of Process Plants & Industrial at Wood Group Mustang, said: “We are pleased that Flint Hills Resources selected Wood Group Mustang to be the engineer for its Project Eagle Ford.

“Our project team has been engaged in this program since 2011 and has assisted FHR through each phase of the project’s evolution.”

At 0820 BST, Wood Group shares were down 0.9% at 623p.
