FTSE 250 movers: Aggreko gains ahead of update, Tullow gushes lower
London's FTSE 250 index was up 0.5% to 19,670.48 in afternoon trade.
Temporary power provider Aggreko was a high riser a day ahead of its first-quarter trading update.
Tullow Oil gushed lower as it said it was taking advantage of low-cost seismic acquisition and processing with a record level of activities in both Africa and South America.
The group has completed a 3D seismic survey offshore Uruguay and a 2D seismic survey across some of its 11 Jamaica blocks.
Greencore shares were recovering from sharp losses in the previous session, when its biggest customer, Tyson Foods, agreed to buy US sandwich supplier AdvancePierre Foods, sparking worries that it would lose out on contracts.
The Irish convenience foods company saw its shares tumble on the back of the news on Tuesday as its US-based business Peacock recently announced a long-term deal with Tyson.
Hochschild Mining and Acacia dropped as gold prices declined.
