FTSE 250 movers: Allied Minds leads index higher; Serco hits the buffers
Updated : 15:20
The FTSE 250 was 0.66% higher at 17,530 in afternoon trading, in lacklustre post-Christmas trade.
Leading the way was Allied Minds, up almost 6%, with OneSavings Bank up 3.9%
Peppa Pig producer Entertainment One was still riding high on the pre-Christmas news that it had joined forces with legendary Hollywood director Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks.
In the red zone, Serco was down a hefty 7% after a two-day strike hit its flagship Scottish rail sleeper service during the busy holiday period.
TalkTalk's woes continued as investors continued to bash the stock after the data hack earlier in the year.
