Avingtrans' Hayward Tyler takeover talks extended until June

Talks about a potential takeover of Hayward Tyler by Avingtrans will continue after the pair further pushed back the official deadline.

Hayward Tyler first announced it was in the early stages of talks with Avingtrans in late March before last month making another statement which set 1700 on Friday as the initial 'put up or shut up' date for Avingtrans to make an offer or walk away.

Hayward Tyler on Friday said it had requested the takeover panel allow it a further extension of this deadline, giving Avingtrans until 1700 on 23 June - unless another extension is needed.

"The purpose of this extension is to provide the directors of both Hayward Tyler and Avingtrans the opportunity to continue their discussions on the structure of any offer and complete their due diligence processes," the paid pointed out.
