Deliveroo offers alcohol deliveries from Majestic Wine and BrewDog

The ever expanding delivery business Deliveroo is extending its bicycle courier service to bring alcohol to thirsty UK customers' doorsteps.

Just two months after scoring a deal with Pizza Express, the London based start-up has partnered up with wine merchants Majestic Wine and craft brewer and bar owner BrewDog, following successful trials since March.

Bike couriers will be delivering drinks from eight Majestic Wine locations in London and 20 BrewDog bars across the country including sites in Bristol, Cardiff and Manchester.

The company has more up its sleeve by teaming up with smaller independent suppliers including craft brewer Honest Brew and London wine bar and shop Vagabond Wines as part of the initiative.

The growing service is currently competing with firms like Just Eat and recently launched UberEATS for market share.

Deliveroo, which has raised funds from the likes of Moscow's DST Global, Index Ventures and Greenoaks Capital, has a wide range of food chains in its repertoire though Pizza Express is the biggest brand to join so far.
