Construction firm Henry Boot has sold 760 plots to national housebuilder Barratt Developments and Vistry Partnerships for a total price of £25.0m.

Henry Boot said on Tuesday that it had disposed of a 125-acre site, located in Bridport via its Hallam Land Management business.

The London-listed firm said HLM, which reached a planning promotion agreement for the asset in 2009, worked with the local planning authority and stakeholders to secure an allocation in the adopted West Dorset, Weymouth, and Portland local plan in 2015 before planning permission was finally secured in May 2019 for 760 plots, 10 acres of employment land and further mixed-use development, including shops and a primary school.

HLM's managing director Nick Duckworth said: "This significant deal with Barratt Developments and Vistry Partnerships will deliver much needed new homes in Bridport. It further highlights our capabilities in masterdeveloping a site to deliver homes, employment space, community facilities and open spaces."
