Matomy Media group appoints founder of Viola group as chairman

Media company Matomy Media group has appointed Harel Beit-On to succeed Rupert Howell as Chairman on 17 January 2017.

Beit-On has been a director at the company for the last six years, which the board believes gives him the required experience and detailed knowledge of the company and its strategic objectives and operations.

He is also the co-founder of Viola Group, an Israeli technology-focused private equity investment group and the founder and general partner of Viola Growth, a fund within the Viola Group, a shareholder of Matomy.

Harel Beit-On, the Chairman-elect, said: "I am delighted to take on this expanded role at a key time in Matomy's development. I look forward to working closely with Matomy's executive team and the Board as we pursue our strategic plans."

Rishad Tobaccowala has also been selected for the role of Deputy Chairman. He brings 35 years of experience in marketing and has founded/co-founded or worked for a variety of companies including Leo Burnett, Starcom, SMG Next, Starcom IP, Giant Step, Play, and Denuo. He is also strategy and grouth officer and member of the Directoire+ of Publicis Groupe, the world’s third-largest communications group.

The share price fell 0.83% to 119.50p at 1400 GMT on Thursday.
