Aminex says commissioning of the gas plant and sub-sea pipeline at its Kiliwani North Development Licence in Tanzania began on 1 June, and that commissioning of the power regeneration system and other auxiliary facilities is complete. The company added that on 2 June gas was processed and entered the pipeline system connecting the Songo Songo plant with the national pipeline. During commissioning, gas rates were planned to rise to 30 mmscfd while pressuring up the plant and pipeline.
Swallowfield, a supplier of personal care and beauty products, has agreed to buy fellow beauty supplier The Brand Architekts for £11m. The acquisition is to continue with Swallowfield’s owned brand ambitions. Brand Architekts manages a portfolio of mid-premium beauty and personal care brands sold in UK high street retailers. Brand Architects had revenues of £10.7m in the 2016 financial year.
Hardide reported a wider interim loss as the downturn in the oil and gas exploration market takes its toll on the company. For the six months to the end of March, the AIM-listed surface coating technology provider posted a group operating loss of £624,000 compared to a £68,000 loss the year before as revenue fell to £949,000 from £1.8m.
Robert Page, director and CFO of Oncimmune Holdings, has died unexpectedly from natural causes. Oncimmune Holdings, an early cancer detection and technology company, said Page died on Friday morning.
