WEY appoints Barrie Whipp as non-exec director

Wey Education has appointed Barrie Whipp as a non-executive director of the company.

The AIM-listed education group, which operates an online independent secondary school in the UK, among other undertakings, announced the move on Wednesday.

Whipp is currently serving as executive chairman of Crimson Tide. Previously, after a career in finance, he founded the financial services arm of Tiphook and was group managing director of IAF Group.

He has also served as a non-executive director of Wills Group plc as well as a number of private companies.

At 1523 GMT, Wey Education's share price was unchanged at 4p.
