Satellite Solutions Worldwide is acquiring Breiband.no AS and the operations and related assets of SkyMesh Pty for £11.7m, which it says will be earnings-enhancing this year.

Both businesses provide rural broadband solutions via satellite and fixed wireless to consumers and businesses in Norway and Australia respectively.


Australia's Thor Mining plans to drill near its Molyhil mine in the Northern Territory, which could lead to tungsten mineralisation, in one of many new projects for the AIM-listed company.

The company plans to drill adjacent to the Molyhil mine in the Northern Territory in Australia to test for tungsten at a cost of about $48,m. About $10m will be used for equipment, which equipment or leasing finance could be secured. This will reduce the cost to below $40m.


Coventry Building Society issued its interim numbers for the six months to 30 June on Friday, reporting record mortgage performance - mortgage assets were up 9% on June 2015 following advances of £4.8bn and net lending of £2.0bn for the first half of 2016.

The board said market share of net lending for the five months to May 2016 was 13%.


Low-cost platinum group metal processor and developer Sylvania Platinum announced its results for the quarter ended 30 June on Friday, from its production and development operations in the Bushveld region of South Africa.

The AIM-traded firm said Sylvania Dump Operations produced 16,219 ounces for the fourth quarter, the second highest achieved in the company's history and 9% higher than the previous quarter, contributing to an annual record of 60,643 ounces.

Diamond development company Firestone Diamonds has extend to 29 August the date at which all conditions for the $8m disposal of its Botswana operations to Tango Mining Ltd must be completed.

"This extension is to enable Tango Mining to finalise the proposed $30m loan commitment with Vanderbilt Commercial Lending," said Firestone.
