EasyHotel has been granted planning permission for a 204-room hotel on the Gran Via in Barcelona.The group said acquisition of the land for the new-build hotel is expected to complete in the coming weeks and the hotel is due to open in early 2018.

AIM-listed gold explorer Caledonia Mining reported another quarterly dividend and said it was “confident” of achieving its full-year production target. Caledonia declared a quarterly dividend of $0.01375 per share, the equivalent to $0.05 per share on an annualised basis and a 3.2% yield, which marked an increase from $0.01125 per share in July.

Strategic natural resources investing company Metal Tiger updated the market on Tuesday over the exploration programme at its joint venture-project with MOD Resources in the Kalahari Copper Belt in Botswana. The AIM-traded firm said preliminary metallurgical testwork results had been received for composite samples of diamond drill core taken as part of the Phase 1 Resource Drilling Programme at T3.

AIM-listed property developer Watkin Jones announced it had forward-sold its Glasgow development to a new institutional investor for an undisclosed fee, to be used for student accommodation. The company sold its St. Mungo Avenue property, a 1.07 acre site in the Glasgow city centre, which is near universities Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian and City of Glasgow college.

Rolling out new sites and expanding margins allowed Revolution Bars Group to serve up strong annual profits and double its dividend, though trading has slowed since the year-end amid a tough market. The group, which floated in March 2015 and operates through the Revolution and Revolucion de Cuba 'premium bar-restaurants' bar chains, grew sales 7% to £119.5m in the year to 30 June, of which two thirds was from new openings.

Milestone, a provider of digital media and technology solutions, announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Social Stock Exchange (SSE) on Tuesday. The agreement is aimed at generating revenues, building membership and raising the profile of both organisations. It will involve introducing new members to each organisation, joint promotion, developing strategic partnerships and establishing and investment fund.
