Back-office software company EG Solutions has won its first mobile and multilingual contract with a retail energy company, worth £1.3m. The AIM-listed company will implement its EG operational intelligence software and EG mobile product across 500 back office, call centres and sales staff in Europe in a bid to improve end-to-end customer service, optimise resources, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Cloud software provider WANdisco has won a contract with gaming company Playtika for its Amazon S3 cloud solution, via Amazon’s web service marketplace. Playtika selected WANdisco Fusion because the solution that could transfer large volumes of continuously changing data to the cloud without impacting the gaming experience of its 6m daily players.

Totally has completed the acquisition of Optimum Sports Performance Centre, a provider of physiotherapy services, for up to £0.65m, which is part of the AIM-listed company’s 'buy and build' strategy.The company aims to make value accretive acquisitions in the outsourced healthcare services market, which recent research has estimated to be worth more than £20bn a year.

PipeHawk said it has posted a wider full-year pre-tax loss of £1.02m, from a loss of £753,000. Revenue was higher at £4.8m, from £4.6m, in what the company described as a "very challenging" year. "The PipeHawk Group remains committed to creating sustainable earnings-based growth and focusing on the expansion of its business with forward-looking products and services," said chairman Gordon Watt in a statement.

International speciality pharmaceutical company Midatech Pharma has selected its candidate compound MTR104 to take into a formal IND-enabling programme during 2017.This would be followed by human studies planned for 2018, the company said.

Vela Technologies has confirmed that THEVIBE Ltd's funding round via Crowdcube funding has raising a total of £608,890. THEVIBE Ltd trades as Vibe Tickets. Vela said it invested £200,000 in Vibe Tickets as part of this funding round.
