Edward Bramson has increased his stake in Electra Private Equity through his Sherborne Investors vehicle, three months after finally getting onto the board.

Bramson, who was elected to the board in November, purchased 2,850 shares for £98,439.

He has been slowly upping the stake his investment vehicle holds, now holding a 28.23% stake in the company.

In October, Bramson had criticised the trust for a lack of board independence, historical underperformance and ignoring his continued suggestions to increase value.

He was voted onto the board by 53% of shareholders after a number of failed attempts in previous months.

The move saw then-chairman Roger Yates resign from the board of Electra.
