Elon Musk asks Twitter if he should stand down as CEO
Twitter chief executive Elon Musk has asked users of the social media platform whether or not he should remain in the top job.
Musk posed the question in the form of a Twitter poll and, with approximately 15.53m votes cast as of 0850 GMT, 57.3% of respondents called for the company's controversial new CEO to resign.
"I will abide by the results of this poll," said Musk.
The poll comes hot on the heels of significant online backlash after Musk enacted sudden changes to policies that impacted users of the platform last week, including limitations related to sharing links to certain other social media accounts.
Musk also stated that there was no possible successor for him at the social media group.
