Blackbird, the developer and licensor of advanced cloud-native video editing platforms, updated the market on the progress of its ‘elevate.io’ product and key contract renewals for its flagship Blackbird platform on Thursday.

The AIM-traded firm said that for elevate.io, its online collaborative video editing and content creation platform, significant new features and functionality had been introduced.

They included social sign-on (SSO) with Google, now accounting for over 50% of new user sign-ups, and support for the Microsoft Edge browser, widely used in corporate environments.

Enhancements to the timeline feature would allow for resizing and better management of complex projects, alongside new options for duplicating and managing clips.

Updates to the elevate.io website, including a refreshed features page, had meanwhile driven increased feature usage, while a payment gateway remained on track for launch in the first quarter of 2025.

On the Blackbird platform, the company said it had secured key customer renewals, with FIFA extending its contract for two more years, and a three-year renewal signed with an unnamed global financial news organisation.

At 1051 GMT, shares in Blackbird were down 3.24% at 5.08p.
