Friday preview: US consumer confidence, IAG in focus
Investors' focus at the end of the week will be on the US consumer and any fresh news out around the incoming US administration's plans.

At 1500 BST the University of Michigan will publish the preliminary results for the University of Michigan's consumer confidence survey covering the month of November.
Speeches by Fed governor, Michelle Bowman, and St.Louis Fed chief, Alberto Musalem, will follow at 1600 BST and 1930 BST, respectively.
Investors will also be digesting news out of Mar a Lago, including the appointment of veteran and well-regarded Capitol Hill operator Susie Wiles as President-elect Trump's new chief of staff.
On home shores, just past midnight the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors will release its Housing Price Balance for October.
BoE chief economist Huw Pill will also be taking to the podium, at 1215 BST.
On the corporate side of things, IAG is among the companies due to update investors.
Analyst Jarrod Castle at UBS anticipates that the carrier will publish third quarter revenues of €9.3bn (consensus: €9.1bn), for an operating profit of approximately €1.78bn and net income of €1.32bn.
Investor focus would be on the outlook for winter 2024/25 and potential capital returns.
Castle also spied the possibility that IAG might provide a profit range for 2024.
