Wednesday preview: US PCE price, durable goods orders data in focus
The market spotlight on Wednesday will be on a deluge of economic data due out in the States.
Key amongst these will be a reading on the US central bank-s preferred inflation gauge, the core price deflator for personal consumption expenditures.
Also due out are reports for US durable goods and weekly unemployment claims.
Overnight meanwhile, rate-setters in New Zealand will meet to decide in monetary policy.
Across the Channel, consultancy GfK will publish the results of its consumer confidence survey for December.
In the UK, at 1800 BST Bank of England chief economist Huw Pill will deliver a speech.
