Leisure business XP Factory said on Wednesday that interim revenue and profits had surged, reflecting continued volume-driven like-for-like growth across both of its brands, ahead of industry levels.

XP Factory said group revenues increased 33.2% to £24.9m in the six months ended 30 September, while gross profits were up 33.6% at £15.6m. Pre-IFRS 16 group adjusted underlying earnings were up 30.5% at £1.5m, while gross margins were steady at 62.8%.

Escape Hunt revenues grew 7% to £6.5m and Boom Battle Bar revenues shot up 56% to £17.6m.

The AIM-listed group highlighted that it had delivered "continued underlying positive like-for-like growth in both brands" ahead of the industry and against strong comparators in the prior year.

Looking forward, XP Factory said it plans to increase sales by 50% and double its pre-IFRS 16 adjusted underlying earnings by March 2028.

As of 0855 GMT, XP Factory shares were up 2.96% at 13.90p.
