Bezant gets environmental clearance for Hope & Gorob extension
Bezant Resources announced the successful issue of an environmental clearance certificate (ECC) for licence EPL7170 on Wednesday, which is part of the Hope & Gorob Copper-Gold Project in Namibia.

The AIM-traded firm said the ECC, valid until 12 August 2027, cleared the path for continued exploration on the crucial project extension.
It said the renewal of licence EPL7170 for an additional two years, until 22 October 2025, was contingent on obtaining the certificate.
With the ECC now granted, Bezant said it could proceed with exploration activities on the 30 kilometre stretch of prospective Matchless Belt geology covered by EPL7170.
The area had already yielded 15 million tonnes of JORC 2012 compliant mineral resources within the pending Hope & Gorob Mining Licence.
Bezant also confirmed that the renewal process for the associated EPL 5796 exploration licence was ongoing.
“We are pleased to be awarded renewal of this exploration licence situated just NE of the main Hope and Gorob licence, with comparable geology within the Matchless Copperbelt,” said chairman Colin Bird.
“We have previously undertaken airborne geophysics over the licence and identified potentially significant anomalies for follow-up.
“The licence forms part of an almost contiguous belt of prospective ground with Hope and Gorob and could host either extensions to that mineralisation or a separate resource to support a larger mining operation in the future.”
At 1100 BST, shares in Bezant Resources were down 9.68% at 0.03p.
