Akers Biosciences terminates chairman
Health information technology developer Akers Biosciences terminated Dr Raymond Akers from his position as executive chairman of its board on Thursday, stripping the company's co-founder of several other officer positions before a successor had even been found.

Dr Akers was removed from his post as executive chairman and from each of his officer positions as chief scientific director and secretary of the company, effective immediately, leading the firm to appoint current director Richard Carlyle Tarbox III to the roles of interim non-executive chairman and secretary until a successor was appointed.
Raymond Akers will continue as a member of the AIM-quoted group's board, albeit in a non-executive capacity.
As of 1100 BST, shares had collected 4.78% to 46p.
