In a bid to strengthen its board following a series of profit warnings, Asos appointed four new independent non-executive directors: Luke Jensen, Karen Geary, Mai Fyfield and Eugenia Ulasewicz
Jensen, who has been chief executive officer of Ocado Solutions since 2017, was previously senior advisor at Boston Consulting Group and group development director at Sainsbury’s, where he was responsible for online and all customer facing digital activities.
Geary, meanwhile, has "extensive" experience in the technology industry following roles as chief human resources officer and non-exec director and chair of the Remuneration Committee at Micro Focus, and chief people officer at Wandisco and The Sage Group.
Mai Fyfield was chief commercial and strategy officer at Sky and currently serves as a non-executive director on the boards of Nasdaq-listed TV streaming platform Roku, BBC Commercial Holdings Limited and Nationwide Building Society.
Eugenia Ulasewicz was president of Americas for Burberry from 1998 to 2013 and previously held senior retail positions with Bloomingdale's, Galeries Lafayette and Saks Fifth Avenue. She currently holds non-executive roles with Bunzl and Signet Jewellers Limited, among others.
Chairman Adam Crozier said: "Their world-class experience, skills, and expertise will be essential in guiding the business through the next stage of global growth, fuelled by the substantial investments it has made over the past few years."
At 1240 BST, the shares were up 3.9% at 2,583p.
