Blackbird signs deal with CBS Sports Digital
Video editing technology company Blackbird has signed a deal with CBS Sports Digital, it announced on Monday, for cloud video production.
The AIM-traded firm said CBS Sports Digital would deploy Blackbird for “professional, collaborative and scalable” cloud video editing and the publishing of sports content.
Accessing Blackbird through a browser, CBS Sports Digital editors would be able to access live and file-based content for editing and enriching content.
“Deployed within CBS Sports Digital's cloud infrastructure, Blackbird will remove the need to travel to a facility and also eliminate the need to transit material to and from multiple local storage environments,” the company’s board said in its statement.
“A division of ViacomCBS, CBS Sports Digital creates and distributes industry-leading sports content across a variety of platforms to audiences around the world.”
