The AIM traded company said that the board anticipates that the first full bitcoin will be mined in the next few weeks through the selected pooled mining network, with a single bitcoin worth £4,683.82 as of 1536 BST.
The company has also secured additional low-cost power supply at the Miner One data centre and is currently working to define the architecture and selected crypto currencies for two additional mining units.
This expansion of operations is expected to require additional investment of between €150,000 and €200,000.
Francesco Gardin, chief executive and executive chairman of Clear Leisure, said: “Our venture into blockchain technology currently comprises cryptocurrency mining which we believe will bring a small amount of revenue to the group and our intention is to investigate other business opportunities for blockchain applications, which we believe will become, in a few short years, the backbone to most service industries around the world.”
As of 1525 BST, Clear Leisure’s shares were up 5.10% at 0.83p.
