The AIM-traded company described the BA 2TR/501 product as a multi-channel communications board, which offered systems integrators an efficient way to introduce up to eight serial communication ports into a VPX system.
It said the board would be especially suited to applications requiring communication with legacy devices that are still widely used in the defence, industrial control and aerospace markets.
As the board is available in commercial grade, extended temperature and rugged conduction cooled variants, it was said to be suitable for use in benign as well as very harsh environments.
“This I/O product complements our range of 3U VPX processors, switches, carriers and simplifies the integration process for our customers,” said Concurrent CEO Glen Fawcett.
“In addition to our hardware product ranges, we have increased our offering of firmware and software products to provide extra security measures, networking capability, and virtualisation support.
“All our VPX products support wide operating temperature ranges and are also available in rugged conduction-cooled variants to suit a wide range of applications.”
