The AIM-traded firm described the grade as the pinnacle of BRC accreditation, adding that it marked the successful completion of all necessary international food and safety accreditations.
While Dekel had already established a sales presence in the US and Europe, obtaining the BRC accreditation was an instrumental part of its broader strategy, according to the board.
The company emphasised that this accreditation positioned them advantageously in negotiations with major ‘blue-chip’ cashew buyers.
It said it expected that, with the BRC recognition, the company was poised to secure premium pricing for cashews in the impending market cycles.
Additionally, Dekel reported a positive trajectory in daily production volumes at its cashew operation.
It said the operation had shown consistent improvement since the second quarter of the year.
“Completing all food and safety accreditation with the highest possible grade is a key milestone and is a testament to the quality of our cashew operation and management team,” said executive director Lincoln Moore.
“We now focus on becoming a consistent high quality producer of cashews for our growing list of customers as we seek to maximise prices for our high quality cashew products.”
At 1230 BST, shares in Dekel Agri-Vision were up 3.18% at 3.25p.
