EVR Holdings launches MelodyVR app, signs deal with Big Machine

Virtual reality music content creator EVR Holdings confirmed on Tuesday that, as it announced on Monday, the MelodyVR music platform had now successfully launched to the public in France, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Greece, Austria and Belgium.

The AIM-traded firm said the application was now available throughout Europe and the United States, launched in tandem with Facebook's $199 hardware device 'Oculus Go'.
It said the MelodyVR platform had also launched additional new VR experiences on Tuesday, available to purchase from artists such as Plan B, Tokio Myers, UB40, Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs, and Tom Walker.
In addition, EVR also announced a record label agreement with Big Machine Label Group, led by founder, president and CEO Scott Borchetta.
EVR said the Big Machine Label Group encompassed Big Machine Records, The Valory Music Co., BMLG Records, Big Machine Records/John Varvatos Records and publishing company Big Machine Music, as well as its own digital radio station, Big Machine Radio.
Artists with the label group included Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, Brantley Gilbert, Ronnie Dunn, Cheap Trick and Sugarland.
“Following this morning's successful launch, I am pleased to announce that the MelodyVR platform is now available to consumers throughout various European territories,” said EVR executive chairman Anthony Matchett.
“In-line with our plans for the global roll out of the MelodyVR platform, Western Europe represents a key area of growth for our company and we are excited to welcome new users to our service from France, Germany, Sweden, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Greece, Austria and Belgium.
“In addition, I am pleased to announce a partnership with Big Machine Label Group and we look forward to working with Big Machine and their roster of superstar artists, to create and distribute groundbreaking VR content.”
