EVR Holdings' subsidiary MelodyVR partners with Telefónica in Germany
Virtual reality content creator EVR Holdings’ subsidiary MelodyVR penned a strategic partnership with Telefónica Germany to showcase its application.

Telefónica agreed to show the lite version of MelodyVR’s music application across its O2 stores in Germany for a year starting in September.
Germany’s biggest communication provider also agreed to actively market MelodyVR’s application in store to encourage users to try it on the Samsung Gear VR handest.
The lite version of the application will allow O2 Customers to access content from The Who, Kygo and the London Symphony Orchestra.
A recent survey by Ipsos Connect found consumer awareness of MelodyVR in Europe was highest in Germany as 79.5% said they have heard of it followed by the UK with 74.85%.
EVR Holdings chief executive Anthony Matchett, said: "Over the next year we expect that consumer adoption of VR devices will be significantly accelerated via direct interaction with virtual reality hardware in high street retail stores. Prior to the wider launch of our platform, we are pleased that a bespoke 'lite' version of the MelodyVR app, containing a cutdown selection of content, will be used to showcase the potential of VR to thousands of O2 customers over the coming months, as well as throughout the 2016/17 festive period.
"We believe that our partnership with Telefónica not only provides EVR with an excellent footprint in the large German market but also provides a robust platform for entry into the wider European marketplace going forward."
Shares in EVR Holdings were up 2.06% to 133.80 BST.
