Faroe Petroleum confirms death of Tambar field worker
Oil and gas company Faroe Petroleum confirmed on Friday that a worker has died at its Tambar field in Norway, which is operated by Aker BP.

The company had reported a serious accident a day earlier on the Maersk Interceptor drilling rig on the Tambar field. The deceased, a Norwegian citizen and an employee of Maersk Drilling, fell into the sea during maintenance work on the drilling rig.
Meanwhile, a second person, also an employee of Maersk Drilling, was injured during the incident, although his condition is not critical and he has been transported to Stavanger University Hospital.
Faroe said an investigation into how the incident occurred is under way. In the meantime, production on Tambar has been temporarily shut down.
At 1250 GMT, the shares were down 0.5% to 97.25p.
