The AIM-traded company said the contract was for the supply of an interactive, 24/7 real time digital radio channel to employees in its local loop operations arm Openreach, using Immedia’s mobile audio streaming platform.
Immedia’s board said its white label platform enabled large, geographically dispersed companies to engage directly with employees and customers using dedicated audio content.
The Openreach radio service, labelled ‘Reach 365’, was accessible to the 33,000 strong workforce through dash-mounted mobile devices and was streamed directly into some of Openreach’s canteens, offices and exchange buildings.
"We are delighted that BT Group has chosen to extend its contract with Immedia for another year,” said Immedia CEO Bruno Brookes.
“Reach 365 was created to enable Openreach to connect directly with its highly mobile workforce. It has proven to be a resounding success in its first year and a hit with employees, who are listening and interacting with the channel on a regular basis,” he added.
